I’ve admired some of the dishes Talha Pasha recreates at his Dublin home using family recipes from Pakistan. This is delish.
500 grams minced beef a little beef fat for extra flavour
250 grams butter ghee
2 big onions chopped finely
3 chopped tomatoes
5 chopped garlic cloves
25 grams of ginger, chopped
1 tablespoon cumin seeds
1.5 tablespoons of coriander seeds
Half tablespoon of turmeric powder
1-2 green chillies, chopped
Half tablespoon red chilli powder
3 tablespoons of squeezed lime juice.
Handful of fresh coriander, chopped to garnish
Small piece of ginger cut julienne for garnish
Seasoned lightly with salt to taste
Saute garlic and ginger on a pan, add all the spices along with tomatoes, green chilies and cook until softened. Add the minced meat, cover and cook on a high flame for 10/12 minutes until the oil separates, mix it well and add the lime juice.
Ready to serve with the garnishes.
Serve with a flat bread or rice.
